Physicals:
New York State requires physicals for students in grades: Kindergarten, 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th, 9th, and 11th. Also, any new entrants require a health appraisal before entering school.

All incoming Kindergarten students must be fully vaccinated to start the first day of school.

Medications:
The State of New York mandates that the school nurse follow the procedures listed below:

  1. All medication, including non-prescription drugs, given in school must be prescribed by a licensed medical doctor.
  2. A written request from the physician must be on file. This request must indicate the dosage and frequency of the prescribed drug. A written request from the parent to administer medication must be on file.
  3. The parent must assume responsibility for having the medication delivered to the Health Office in a properly labeled original container.

Please do not send any type of medication to school with your child unless you use the proper procedure.

Medication drop off August 27 and 28th.

Medications can be picked up any time in June until 10:00 a.m. on June 26th. If this schedule doesn't work, please call to arrange an alternative time. Any unclaimed medications will be disposed of at the end of each year.
